  • Protect Your Eyes: Never look directly at the Sun during the partial phases of the eclipse. Invest in certified eclipse glasses—they’re your portal to witnessing the corona during totality and we have plenty available here at the store!

  • Capture the Moment: Bring your camera or smartphone to document this once-in-a-lifetime event. A wide-angle lens will capture the eerie twilight that envelops Kerrville. You’ll need a filter on your lens and we have specially designed smartphone filters for sale.

  • Arrive Early: Stake out your viewing spot well in advance. Kerrville’s warm hospitality extends to eclipse chasers, so arrive early and make new friends under the darkening sky.

  • Gibson’s Eclipse “Lounge”: If you don’t want to brave the crowds of the big event at the park, we will have an “Eclipse Viewing Lounge” for our shoppers convenience at no extra cost.

  • Parking at Gibson’s: We are a retail business so we need to ensure that we have enough parking for those folks that want to shop with us, so, on the day of the eclipse, we will be charging $50 to park. However, if you spend $100 or more in the store, we will refund you the parking fee.
